Hammersmith Flyover Strengthening – Phase 2
Brief
To supply all necessary works to complete 5 No. pier openings on the Hammersmith Flyover Strengthening Phase 2 Project. The works included supply and installation of strengthening steelwork, concrete drilling and coring and grouting of the steelwork into position. We provided temporary works solutions and supplied all project management, risk assessments and method statements for our works.
Response
We worked very closely with our client, Costain, to understand how we could integrate within their team to offer best value for the logistically complex project. The scope of works developed through the tender process and into the works to minimise trade interface issues and collaborate effectively to ensure maximum efficiency of the team.

Our project manager was always on hand to manage the delivery the project at site and we were pleased to be able to assist with a number of additional works. Most notably was the award of the supply and installation of the Temporary Expansion Joint Plates which will be in position to enable works below the deck to continue throughout the project in that location.
