PRO STEEL DONATES MATERIALS FOR CHILDREN’S MEMORIAL GARDEN

A team from Pro Steel Engineering has provided time and materials for a memorial garden at Tŷ Hafan, a children’s hospice based in Sully, Vale of Glamorgan.

The Caldicot-based steel-specialist firm fabricated and installed £4.5k worth of stainless steel in the form of a wire balustrade which surrounds the finished memorial garden on site.

The newly-refurbished garden features an enchanted forest, outdoor shelters and edible planting for children receiving care at the hospice and their families to enjoy. It also has an interactive water feature where personalised pebbles can be placed in memory of a child who has died.

Richard Selby, director, Pro Steel Engineering said: “As a team, we were thrilled to be involved in such a meaningful project and only happy to help alongside other companies that also donated time, money and materials as part of the M4 Corridor around Newport scheme.”

“The care the life-limiting children receive at Tŷ Hafan is second to none and they deserve an outdoor space that is equally as rewarding to experience. We look forward to seeing everyone enjoying the space for years to come.”

Sara Webber, Associate Director at Tŷ Hafan: “We are so grateful to Pro Steel Engineering for the time and materials they have donated to us, helping us to provide this garden, which is a tranquil, contemplative space for family members and an area where the children and their siblings can interact in safety. It’s only with the generosity of supporters like Pro Steel Engineering that we can continue to provide our lifeline services to the families that need them so much”.
